Have you ever wondered if the people of other countries know more about US politics and policies than US citizens?

Are you ready to accept that we have been, and continue to be, royally lied to by the US government?

Would your thoughts and feelings be changed about Hussein, the war, and other so-called democratic ideological actions change if… you knew that 15 years ago the US had funded and provided the chemicals and equipment that Hussein used to gas Iraqi people?

No one wants to think that their elected officials lie so they can get what “they” want - we Americans are no different. Since 9-11, I have had more questions, doubts, and suspicion about what’s gone on than I care to say. Every inch of the way, my gut feeling was saying… “this doesn’t add up.” As I sat and watched events unfold, the truth moved further and further away. I watched our media slip into silence and emerge a puppet resembling propaganda I would only expect to see coming from a very corrupt third world country… but this is America, my country, how could that be???

I’ve sat here and watched my beloved country turn into a country of new laws, the Patriot Act for starters (yet another lie to get us to submit to more rights lost), that removed the rights of the citizens that our forefathers toiled so hard to establish in the New World. After 9-11 we were instructed by president Bush to “go shopping” and to not worry about a thing as the fox raided the chicken coup (pun intended, directly at the bought-out FOX - TV).

For years I have said, “Bush is the kiss of death. Every business he has ever touched has gone down the tubes, and this is one of the men who is in control of our country!” As I sit here and watch our country go down the tubes, and they sit there saying “we’re winning” - I wonder what exactly it is that they think we are winning. I don’t see a single thing being won, nor does it look like anything will ever be won at this rate. Come 2009, will we even have much of anything left?

While our US TV news stations are consumed with the candidates and every single utterance that leaves their mouth, their pen, and their past, I question why is it that the truth is not revealed and the lies and corruption not stopped. Each day I pray that the people will take back what we have lost and demand honesty. As it is right now, I feel like I am in a foreign country with bizarre rules and laws that I did not grow up with. I wonder where our US Constitution is and why it’s not applied any longer. I recognize the geographical landscape of North America, but I do not recognize the government.

For those who are not afraid to know more, and who are interested in having some of their gray areas filled-in, I highly recommend watching this video, The Lies That Led To War, by CBC - TV. We need to start looking “outside” of the US if we want to know what is going on in our own backyards, how unfortunate. All of this does not strike me as the signs of a “Super Power,” but rather a weakened and delusional system on the verge of self-destruction. Let’s take back our country and reinstate our Constitution!
